Bigun opines:
"If that happens, I'll throw up my hands and completely walk away from politics forever.
Need to do that anyway."
This may be the last national election (and election for "state-wide" candidates such as governor, senator, House rep) that I take the time to vote in, as well.
Reason why:
It looks like Connecticut will soon adopt "ranked choice voting", which is designed to turn [Republican] winners into losers and [DCommunist] losers into winners.
There's a "working committee" or something along that line being assembled in Hartford, and my guess is that the leftist legislature will churn RCV out and the leftist governor will rubber-stamp it into law.
Not really much point in voting in this state after that, if one is "of the right".
Also, in my town, after many years of Republican rule (mayor), it finally "tipped to the left" with the election of a leftist mayor last time 'round. So trying to influence things by voting is probably a thing of the past locally, as well.
In some places, the voting booth simply doesn't work any more.
And the number of places where this is the case... is growing.
By leaps and bounds.
