(Hunter Schnabel/U.S. Coast Guard) The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Munro unloaded approximately 33,768 pounds of cocaine — an estimated value of $468 million — on Tuesday in San Diego, according to a service news release.
The offload is a result of eight separate suspected drug smuggling vessel interdictions off the coasts of Mexico and Central and South America in February and March.
