House GOP Caucus Censures Four Members for Supporting Conservative Challengers

The caucus did not expel the members, but condemned their conduct “in the strongest terms.”

Four lawmakers have been officially censured by the House Republican Caucus for campaigning for conservative challengers against incumbents during the recent primary elections.

Caucus rules prohibit members from endorsing against incumbents in what has been referred to as the “Incumbent Protection Program.”...

So, the Texas State GOP House caucus is punishing its own members for exercising their God-given and 1st Amendment right to free political expression?  Man, what a rats' nest of scumbaggery.

Yes, but do they get double secret probation?

In this case, they get a ton of free publicity courtesy of the tone-deaf caucus members.

Look for one of the four to become Speaker next year.

Censure, like impeachment, will become one of those laughable dead letter things that legislatures do when they have no power or influence.
