CBS invests in statistics on the impact of climate change and participates in the merry-go-round of climate alarmism
From one of our correspondents.
Collect climate data. This should become as common for statistical institutes worldwide as they collect data on the population and economy. According to senior statistical researcher Arthur Denneman and head of Energy Statistics Otto Swertz at CBS, on their own website. They explain what CBS is doing internationally when it comes to climate change.
Swertz:
'Many people are concerned about climate change and its consequences. That's why politicians are setting climate goals. For example, the European Union's ambition to be climate neutral by 2050. Statistical institutes can record the impact of climate change, but also the effects of climate policy. It is our strength that we measure and publish socially relevant data. This way, for example, politicians can see what the state of affairs is on the way to a climate goal.'
CBS is blunt: 'The cause of global warming is CO2 emissions. This can be countered by using less fossil fuels and using more renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind.'
CBS already collects a lot of climate-related data.
