America is not going to save Taiwan from mainland China any more than it's going to save Ukraine from Russia.

How many members of this forum are willing to sacrifice their kids or grandkids to defend Taiwan ??

I would generally agree. I’m not much for getting into any of these conflicts that are not ours. No “domino effect” arguments, please.
Supporting them generally is a different thing. Stating we‘ll die for them is another.
So I sympathize with Trump’s statement but we shouldn’t be so glib that we don’t care if China takes them.
