I know nothing about this guy, but a lot of "lobbyists" are lawyers for whom it isn't a full time job.  They consult on some issues within their areas of expertise, etc., but otherwise have a normal practice. So anyway, this guy may just be the campaign's legal representative in Texas.  Unless there is something more nefarious than "he's a lobbyist", without any details about why that is bad, this is a big nothingburger.

Yeah, that's not what that means.  States lobby to bring in businesses all the time, and sometimes hire people to try to encourage businesses to move there.

I live in Texas my friend, and YOU do not know what you are talking about! In Texas, when those words are used it means funded by one or more taxpayer funded organizations who then pay lobbyist to work against those same taxpayers. TAC (Texas Association of Counties), and TML (Texas Municiple League) being but two of many. THAT should, and soon will be, illegal.

Still haven't received an answer to my question.  Surely, some Trump supporter has the guts to come forward and answer:

"What is the point of voting for someone in the GOP primary who has a proven track record of signing off on every single piece of Democrat legislation that comes across his desk and whose negatives are so high that he will never garner 50% of the November vote?"
