AD: Half of owners would no longer buy solar panels

From one of our correspondents.
Almost half of people with solar panels on their roofs would no longer have purchased them. People are concerned about feed-in costs charged by energy companies.
This is evident from a survey conducted by solar energy company Soly among 1536 respondents, writes the AD. For the installers of solar panels in Groningen, the glass is half full: 54 percent of the owners would still buy it.
The more panels that are installed in the district, the greater the risk.
Those who have solar panels will see their financial advantage shrink in the coming years. When concluding a new contract, energy companies charge up to 270 euros per year for the return of solar power to the grid. In addition, the net metering scheme, in which the electricity supplied and the purchased electricity is offset against each other, will probably be phased out from 2025 onwards. And the third downer is that on very sunny days, more and more people's solar power systems fail because the grid in the district cannot handle the large amounts of solar power. The more panels that are installed in the district, the greater the risk.
