Report: ‘Genderfluid’ Ex-Biden Official Sam Brinton Arrested as ‘Fugitive of Justice’

“Openly genderfluid” Sam Brinton, the MIT grad who served Joe Biden’s administration in a key nuclear role before being fired, was reportedly arrested Wednesday as a “fugitive of justice.”

The Daily Wire reports Montgomery County, Maryland, enforcement officers took Brinton into custody at his home, police logs show.

He is currently in jail and being held without bond.

A neighbor told the Daily Wire “four unmarked police showed up last night, they would not let his spouse Kevin leave. After about an hour Sam Brinton was escorted out in handcuffs.”

Brinton is set to appear for a hearing before Judge Victor Del Pino on Thursday afternoon.

The arrest comes six months after Brinton was fired for stealing women’s clothes in airports, as Breitbart News reported.

"Montgomery County Police assisted in the arrest of Sam Brinton," Shiera Goff, a Montgomery County Police Department spokesperson, told Fox News Digital. "The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police are lead on this."





Police charged Brinton in October with stealing a traveler's baggage worth a total of $2,325 from the luggage carousel at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport after flying in from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 16.


And in early December, Las Vegas prosecutors charged Brinton with grand larceny of an item valued between $1,200 and $5,000. Police accused Brinton of stealing a suitcase with a total estimated worth of $3,670 on July 6 at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. The bag contained jewelry valued at $1,700, clothing worth $850 and makeup valued at $500.

Brinton faced up to 15 years total for the two alleged thefts. However, in both cases, the presiding judges ruled jail time wasn't necessary.

In addition, a female Tanzanian fashion designer based in Houston accused Brinton in February of wearing her custom designs that were packed in a luggage she reported missing in 2018. Houston police referred that case to the FBI.

ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND — Sam Brinton, the “nonbinary” activist tapped by Joe Biden for a key nuclear role before he was fired for stealing women’s clothes, was arrested again Wednesday night as a “fugitive from justice” for allegedly stealing luggage, The Daily Wire has learned.

A neighbor told The Daily Wire that “four unmarked police showed up last night, they would not let his spouse Kevin leave. After about an hour Sam Brinton was escorted out in handcuffs.”

Rob Yingling, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), said airport police “executed a search warrant May 17 in Montgomery County, Maryland, in connection with allegations of stolen property in luggage from Reagan National Airport that was brought to the department’s attention in February 2023. With the assistance of Montgomery County Police, Samuel Otis Brinton, age 35, of Rockville, Maryland, was taken into custody Wednesday pending charges of Grand Larceny.”

Montgomery County police spokeswoman Sheira Goff said “The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police are lead on this. Brinton was arrested at approximately 10 p.m. last night in their home.”

Former senior Department of Energy (DOE) official Sam Brinton's latest arrest this week involves his alleged theft of a Tanzanian fashion designer's baggage in 2018, according to the designer's lawyer.

Peter Hansen, a Washington, D.C.-based attorney representing Tanzanian fashion designer Asya Khamsin, said police executed a search warrant at Brinton's Maryland residence Wednesday using information he shared with them. Khamsin has accused Brinton of wearing her custom designs that were packed in a luggage she reported missing in 2018 at Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C.

"On March 9, 2018, her luggage was stolen from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport," Hansen told Fox News Digital in a statement. "In her bag were more than a dozen bespoke articles of clothing that she had designed, along with a number of other valuable items for her business."

"Asya Khamsin’s business was seriously damaged by this loss, which remained a mystery until she was recently alerted to photos of Sam Brinton wearing articles from her lost luggage. She thereafter contacted the authorities," he continued.
