Surgeon removes ‘live grenade’ from inside Ukrainian soldier’s body

A surgeon was able to successfully remove a live grenade that was lodged inside a Ukrainian soldier’s chest, according to the Ukraine military.

Andriy Verba, one of Ukraine’s most experienced military surgeons, was warmed by the armed forces the grenade could “detonate at any time” before undergoing surgery.

An X-ray image -released by Ukraine’s military- showed the live grenade in the middle of the soldier’s chest.
