MARSHFIELD, Mass. (WKRC/WCVB/CNN Newsource) - A mother in Massachusetts is feeling sad, but full of pride as her triplet sons prepare to join the US Marine Corps.

'It's very honorable, very courageous': Triplets decide to enlist in Marine Corps (WCVB, Michelle Wehr/Family Handout, CNN/CNN Newsource)

Michelle Wehr has watched her 18-year-old sons, Griffin, Matt, and Connor, grow from preemies into wonderful young men.

"I never thought in a million years that this would happen," she said.

Instead of college, all three boys have decided to serve their country.

"I didn't have plans for school, so why not the military?" said Griffin.

"I'm going to ship off, like, in July, going to boot camp for 13 weeks and after that, I'll be going aviation support," said Matt.

"I just saw them doing it and I thought it was a good opportunity," said Connor.
