Authorities are responding to reports of a mid-air collision between two aircraft at the Wings Over Dallas air show at Dallas Executive Airport, Jason Evans with Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) told CNN on Saturday.

According to Evans, the crash was reported around 1:30 p.m. There are currently over 40 fire rescue units on scene, DFR’s active incidents page shows.

This is a developing story.

How horrific!

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

I put Air Shows up there with NASCAR events as far as risk.

Seems we sadly see this once every year or two.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Flying B-17s are as rare as hen teeth.

I'm sure there'll be some footage coming out showing what happened.

We love going to the air show close to us and seeing the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels. I have always be in awe of the pilots' abilities and have also considered the tremendous risk that they take.
