Strategic movement in the Black Sea continues with Russia reportedly loading cruise missiles onto a pair of submarines among its Black Sea fleet. This comes just days after a report that stated the U.S. was preparing to target the Russian fleet to free up paths for Ukraine to export grain.

Two Russian submarines have already moored at berths in the South Bay of Sevastopol to onload the Kalibr missiles, according to the Ukrainian media outlet Kyrm.Realii. Four of these "Caliber" types of missiles will be loaded upon two of the six Varshavyanka submarines, which are designed to fire these kind of missiles that have both land and sea capability strikes.
 
Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2017 said these missiles have the ability to strike a target from 1,400 kilometers (870 miles) from the underwater vessels.

I think some reporter just pulled this one out their ass to get their byline some notice.

I suspect there are few things in this world that are reported less than actual war plans.

This is especially true on boomers and attack subs.

I know the Russians have a well-deserved reputation for being bull-headed,but even they can't possibly be serious about using missiles to sink NATO vessels sailing in an open sea. That is an open act of war against NATO nations.

Hell,they can't even defeat Ukraine,what the HELL are they going to do against a united NATO force?

Maybe not on THOSE subs,that cruise around in what they would consider to be "local waters".

You can bet your bippy the Neo-Soviet subs that cruise around off our shore and the shores of other NATO nations have nuke cruise missiles on them.

BTW,stating they are placing cruise missiles on "local subs" does NOT mean they are also nuclear missiles. They could well be loaded with conventional explosives,and almost certainly are.

After all,why would they want to explode nukes right off their own freaking shores?
