I buying as much as I can and have two freezers full of meat, and I will continue to buy as long as I can afford to.

At my age, a 20 oz. Porterhouse  is about one of the few pleasures left in life.

No matter what the envirowhackos say or do, as long as there is a cow for sale, I won't be going without beef.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Jealous as hell if you have the facilties to butcher 'em.....

Have given thought to diverting some farmland to cattle pasture.  Might especially if I can't have my burgers.

I would rather say 'good-bye' to the politicians that caused this.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

Facilities... Sounds high-falutin. Bust em up just like you would a deer or elk... 'Facilities' would be folding tables in the garage, and a couple chest freezers.... Band saw, meat grinder... Sawzall, bone saw and sharp knives.

It ain't like rocket science...

Suckers weigh 1000-1500 pounds. I guess you could buy some hooks and pulleys, but again, we are looking at a capital investment not only do this thing, but do it sanitarily.

Big differnece in a cow and dressing a 100 pound deer. Which is a big one here.

I am about out of beef. Only one freezer full currently... Still have some beef, some elk, mostly venison and fish... But all of it is a little light - That's the time of year though. I will be fishing soon... and all that will start to grow. I will pick up a half of beef some time through the summer, and the rest is whatever hunting season will bring. I want an elk this year for sure.

That's one thing all y'all can do to stem the costs of meat - Pick up a fishing pole and have at it... Rewarding whether you can catch a dang thing or not. And catching is an inevitability... Soon enough you will fill a freezer with free meat.

If I can only convince my HOA to stock the pool with bream.

What the heck's a bream?

Y'all can't have it so hard you can't get out of town for the weekend and back up in the sticks... Outside of the relaxation that camping affords, you can come back with a bunch of fish.

Here, I will go fishing every other day... around town here... Perch, bass, and pike. And go up in the sticks on the weekend when I can, for rainbow, brookies and cuts... with a little lake action here and there for the kokanee...

Normally somewhere between 100 and 200 fish per season (not counting perch and the odd bluegill or sunfish)

The greatest fishing experience of my life was at 14,000 ft in Wyoming.  Cutthroat trout were literally fighting each other for the chance to chomp down on a copper spoon.  The water was so clear you could see four trout following the same lure.  I would gladly trade my current existence for that lifestyle.  But my wife on the other hand would not.  So in the meantime, I am cheering for at least a 20° rise in global temperatures to convince her that Wyoming/Montana/South Dakota are not too cold during winter.

Yep... Seen that same thing hundreds of times - It's how I live.

Just buy a house in town for her... And a pickup for you... Down in town the cold don't really matter much... Covered malls and big box stores... Them folks would hardly know it's winter. She would be fine.

And all them woods are just a few miles off anytime you want to wander off and get in em.

Americans may have to say goodbye to steak and burgers?

This American says....NOT. I am/was a huge meat eater. Due to some health issues I restrict myself to a couple of times a week. But as long as I can afford a burger or steak I'm not giving it up.

I went to Kroger today and couldn't believe how much produce had increased in price - at least 25%.
Meat also, of course. I snagged a pound of ground beef on special, but abandoned plans for many of the other items on my list, including steak - just ridiculous. I already was having a bad day as it was, so my Biden-directed epithets were many! %*$#!!!!
