Four years. That’s how long our home has been running continuously on my homebrew powerwall built from a wrecked Model S. It’s recharged each day with a 17K watt solar array. Occasionally the display crashes but we haven’t lost power for even a microsecond in the last four years.
This isn’t a backup system. It’s our primary source of power. The battery is always connected to and running the house. We live off the grid.
I would have purchased a powerwall but @elonmusk
doesn’t sell one for an off the grid application. lol. So this one is like 6 powerwalls.
