I was to the store last week and supplies were lacking and some shelves (not many) were indeed bare.  I was able though to get what I needed. Paper towels and toilet paper are becoming scarce; pasta, pasta sauces, canned and frozen fruits were pretty bare. I have a supply in my pantry and was able to replenish for the most part.  Meat is sky high in price as I'm sure you are aware.  Let's Go Brandon!!!!

Reporters and other shoppers took out their frustration on Twitter by sharing photos of their local grocery stores and tagging #BareShelvesBiden, which began trending.

Newsbusters managing editor Curtis Houck turned attention to "#BareShelvesBiden in dark blue Oakton, Virginia."

CNBC senior White House correspondent Kayla Tausche joined in with her own photos from a Trader Joe’s and captioned it, "Apocalypse now."

Atlanta Mayor and Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms also tapped into the Twitter trend to share how supply chain issues in Southwest Atlanta are particularly out of hand................

I don't know if people are hoarding. All I can attest to is that I went to pick up a roll of paper towels and there were two rolls left of store brand and a shelf full of name brand over-priced paper towels.  I didn't need toilet paper so I didn't even buy a roll to have an extra on hand (we have extra on hand).

The brand of alfredo sauce that I used to by hasn't been available since the pandemic hit. Inventory of pasta and sauces is low again and I think primarily because those two items help stretch food dollars a little bit further.  Spaghetti and meat sauce or just plain spaghetti and sauce is far less expensive than a steak dinner for example.

My 4 and 2 year old grandsons both asked me what #BareShelvesBiden was and I told them to Google search it on their Fire tablets. Now my 4 y/o grandson is afraid that #BareShelvesBiden will prevent his bday party this week. He’s in tears and I’m literally shaking.

I'm going to the big city tomorrow and will visit one of the warehouse stores. We'll see whether those shelves are as empty as those in other towns.
