NASCAR’s Brandon Brown to drive ‘Let’s go, Brandon’-themed car

“Let’s Go Brandon”-themed stickers have spread from America’s roadways to NASCAR’s — thanks to “Brandon” himself.

Brandon Brown acquired a new sponsor Thursday, one that took its very name from the chant based on the driver’s name but aimed at President Biden.

The cryptocurrency company LGBcoin — the self-styled “America’s Coin” — will be the Brown team’s full season primary partner for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series

“We are proud to support Brandon this season, to help him continue his American dream. If we do our job right, when you think of us, and you hear, ‘Let’s Go Brandon,’ you’ll think and feel, ‘Let’s Go America,’” James Koutoulas, founder of Typhoon Capital Management, said in a press release.

The company released a photo of Mr. Brown standing next to his #68 Chevrolet Camaro in a red-white-and-blue trim with “LGBcoin.io” in big blue letters.

Mr. Brown‘s “LGB” car will make its debut Feb. 19 at the NASCAR Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway...........

I thought I had heard that this driver was uncomfortable with his fame around this event.  Maybe he's had a change of heart.

The Nascar wokers in the front office must be apoplectic.    I can't wait to watch the Daytona 500 and see thousands of "Lets Go Brandon" signs in the stands!

Hope he qualifies for the field.

A partnership between NASCAR driver Brandon Brown and a cryptocurrency coin named after the "Lets go Brandon" meme, appeared to be in limbo on the same day the deal was announced.

Max Marcucci, a PR strategist who represents the racecar driver and Brandonbilt Motorsports, said NASCAR provided written approval of the car’s paint scheme and sponsorship for the upcoming season of the Xfinity Series, NASCAR's second tier.

"We didn't freelance this,'' he told USA TODAY Sports, referring to NASCAR's rules.

But after Brown's team announced the agreement on Thursday, with a news release along with video and photos of the car, NASCAR informed Brown's team it still is reviewing the details, according to Marcucci.

Video and photos of Brown standing in front of his No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro show the red-white-and-blue paint scheme that includes "LGBcoin.io," the official name of the cryptocurrency coin, across the rear quarter-panel.

Brandon Brown, the NASCAR driver whose win at Talladega became forever associated with the “Let’s Go, Brandon” chant, announced LGBcoin will sponsor his team.

“Let’s Go, Brandon” became a popular chant at sporting events and a form of protest against Joe Biden after NBC NASCAR reporter Kelli Stavast fraudulently claimed on live television that a crowd chanting “F*ck Joe Biden” was actually chanting “Let’s Go, Brandon,” in honor of Talladega winner and NASCAR driver Brandon Brown.

“The partnership marks the latest crypto outfit to back a NASCAR driver and team, a growing trend not only in motorsports but across all professional sports leagues,” a press release on the announcement said. “In 2022, BMS driver Brandon Brown will sport an eye-catching red, white, and blue livery with the logo and wordmark of LGBcoin aboard his No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro for all 33 races of the NXS season.

“We are thrilled to partner with Brandonbilt Motorsports and Brandon Brown for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season,” James Koutoulas, LGBcoin HODLer and founder of Typhoon Capital Management,” said in the announcement. “Brandon is not only an incredibly talented driver, but also a thoughtful individual wise beyond his years.
