Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf got on her knees for Black Lives Matter amidst the Floyd riots last year and scolded all white police officers as evil racists and oppressors of innocent black people before wholeheartedly embracing the "Defund the Police" movement.

"Excuse me but f*** the bad apple theory," Schaaf said while speaking at a BLM rally organized by the NAACP in honor of George Floyd on Jun 5, 2020 . "Let me have a moment of honesty here -- it is perpetuated by people that look like me and have the job title that I hold."

Two years earlier, Schaaf made headlines for tipping off illegal alien criminals that ICE raids were incoming so they could avoid being deported by Trump.

People and politicians like schaff are simply "unreachable".
There is no way to bend their worldview back towards reality.

That's why for some time now, I've posted that the only way a state like California will be "brought back into the fold" of "traditional-minded America" would be military conquest of the population, followed by a military government and then one of appointed civilian leadership through a complete "Era of Reconstruction", a la 1865-75.

Only it would probably require 30-40 years (about two generations) to make a real difference.

And it is my belief that strengthening our republican form of government by reigning the federal government back to the intentions of the Founders is the best way to resolve.

Blue states have the right to continue to eliminate penalties for crime, raise taxes, impose onerous restrictions on citizens and otherwise dismember its economy.   Doing so results in waves of citizens fleeing to red states where jobs and freedoms thrive.

There will come a point in time where the citizens that remain revolt and throw out the garbage.  But this can only be possible with a Republican form of government which restricts interference by the feds.
