The Democrats know they are in trouble going into the 2022 midterms so many are fleeing a sinking ship.

ANOTHER House Democrat is retiring from Congress.

Oregon Democrat Rep. Peter DeFazio, the House Transportation Chair, is retiring, according to sources who spoke to Punch Bowl News reporter Jake Sherman.

Rep. DeFazio, 74, is the 19th Democrat planning to retire next year.

Sure, the Dems will hand a hot mess over to GOP control in Congress, and then blame the GOP for the mess they will not be able to fix in two years without the White House, just in time for 2024...

Just watch the ABCNNBCBS etc. have at it.

They lie, anyway, and this should be a piece of cake.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

They all need to retire at the same age, they tell us to retire!  Grassley is 88!  Pelosi is 80! Schumer has Parkinson's and hallucinates. Mad Maxine....is how old?

Always the same isn't it?  THEY TAKE CREDIT for what they have NOT done and blame the RIGHTS for everything the LEFTS did wrong.  Some even believe this stuff, out there and on here!

Yep. It helps to have the media in your back pocket, too.

Usually, a sitting president takes the brunt of people’s anger more than Congress when things are bad

The midterms will be more of an expression of people’s anger not just with Joe Biden but the Democratic Party in general. Similar to the  Democrats making the 2018 midterms a referendum on Donald Trump. In 2022, Republicans will do the same thing to Joe Biden and the Democrats and win

However, that may not work in 2024. Can anyone tell me what the Republicans plan for controlling inflation is? They are making the  people’s concerns regarding inflation an issue now because they can. They are in the minority

But if they win in 2022 and again in 2024, that’s not a license to pursue  their own inflationary policies

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Too early to call the 2022 horse race ... a bajillion news cycles between now and then.
