Manchin’s Maserati swarmed by progressive loons claiming he tried to run them over: ‘We want to live!’

Senator Joe Manchin’s Maserati was swarmed by climate change protesters on Thursday who claimed that he tried to run them over while blockading his car from exiting an underground garage and chanting “F*** Joe Manchin!”

“We blockaded Joe Manchin’s car and he tried to run us over,” a TikTok video posted by @hungry4climatejustice boasted showing activists attacking the senator from West Virginia.

The video shows a throng of protesters standing in front of and behind Manchin’s car as he tried to slowly inch forward and exit the garage. They pounded a drum while chanting obscenities at the moderate Democrat. They also held a banner up while one person leaned on the vehicle’s hood. Numerous videos were taken from different vantage points. A car horn can be heard blaring but it’s not clear whether it was from Manchin’s vehicle or not.

“This is Joe Manchin’s car slowly pressing into our peaceful protesters,” one person asserts. “We want to live! We want to live!” That phrase was constantly chanted along with “F*** Joe Manchin!” It seemed to be the rallying cry of the demonstration and was ostensibly meant to sway Manchin into supporting President Biden’s multi-trillion-dollar Build Back Better social spending package that includes funds for climate change.
