Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) erroneously declared that moderate senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) “do not have the right to sabotage what 48 want and what the President wants,” seemingly failing to comprehend that Biden’s Build Back Better plan is also opposed by 50 Republican senators.

“But two people do not have the right to sabotage what 48 want and what the President wants,” Sanders declared. “That, to me, is wrong.”

Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, this isn't a parliamentary system with lock-step party discipline.  As such, each member of Congress has a duty to vote as they see best, not to simply vote as commanded by party leaders.

Bernie was not "wrong" in stating what he did. He was expressing the CORRECT behavior of the party to which he (and the rest of the "democrats") actually belong.

This accurately describes how "party discipline" worked and was enforced within the original communist party -- as noted by Whittaker Chambers in "Witness". To become "a member of The Party" was to assent to submit ones self to military-style discipline, to receive orders from The Party without question, and to execute them as directed.

This is why the democrat-communists repeatedly win, and why the Republicans (who would never place themselves under such discipline) are destined to almost continually lose.

I believe that would be Biden, Bernie, Obama and the clintons, Schumer and Pelosi as well.  People keep wanting to make excuses as to why what they do is not their faults or is excusable.  Doing this has always encouraged them to get worse and be much bolder.
