I know he's really on top of the goings-on in Afghanistan ( :silly:), but has Dementia Joe said anything about this catastrophe closer to home?

The Haitian government declared a state of emergency after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck the country Saturday, leaving at least 1,297 people dead, according to Jerry Chandler, head of Haiti's civil protection agency.

More than 2,800 people have been injured.

The majority of deaths occurred in the south of the country, where 500 people are known to have died. The quake destroyed 2,868 homes and damaged another 5,410, officials from the agency said. The destruction has also pushed hospitals to the brink and blocked roads that would carry vital supplies. ...

We have provided BILLIONS in cash aid and built infastructer in HAITI...SINCE 1915!  After we had engineers and spent much labor, building up their country, the ungrateful in charge, told us to leave!  We did. The last earth quake, they complained OUR HELP was not coming quick enough and they didn't like HOW food, supply's were delivered! Air dropped for speed.  News said, the men were raping women and young 2 year old girls in the tent city, we erected. No energy to clean up the place, but this they do.  About middle 1800's, they mass murdered all white and mixed people, to then be, the only totally ruled negro nation.  It all went down hill.
Here we are again.

Our church supports a mission school in Haiti. Many members of our congregation have traveled there to help with construction, installing water systems, etc. Here's a letter just received of the pastor who runs the school:
Quote
Good morning.

I assume by now, you all know that (my wife) and I are in Haiti. Due to the current circumstances our presence was mandatory here. We came last week Wednesday. One of our coworkers, the one who taught computer class and installed solar panels, was killed in a car accident. His funeral was last Saturday. In addition three young people died in less than a month. No explanation can be given for their deaths.

Tuesday this week, one of our teenagers got hit by a car. He was not on the highway just on the side. Unfortunately our clinic was not able to assist him. There was a delay for an ambulance to come to get him to a hospital. I saw his sister this morning and she said that he is doing a little better. He was hit in the head. Pray for him. His name is Judenelson.

The earthquake did not affect us and neither did the tropical storm Grace. But both hit hard the people in Southern Haiti. Last time I heard the number of deaths was over 2000 and they are digging the debris  for more and the wounded were over 6,000.

One thing after another. Aids that come via airplanes have gotten there. Whether they go to the right people, I don't know. Gangs have kidnapped two doctors who were on their way to help the survivors. The day before yesterday a pastor who was taking food to the survivors was kidnapped as well. This atmosphere creates great panic in those who would like to bring their support.

There is no authority. Gangs are in charge. The businessman whom we buy food from and who also delivers the food told us that one of his semi loaded with food was taken by the gangs and this has caused a delay in the delivery.

Please pray for Haiti. What we need is revival. We have no president, no Prime Minister, no Parliament, no police force. We are on our own. If you go out only when you get back one knows for sure that you will get back. God's intervention is mandatory.

You may wonder about our security at the mission. We are very watchful. I never leave the mission premises. We are praying because we do not belong to ourselves, we are God's properties.

PEOPLE ARE STARVING. FOOD COSTS AN ARM AND A LEG. We are doing our job in the little corner where we are to provide food for the people. People come from time to time to ask for help.

PRAY FOR US.

God bless.

I prefer to just ship them to the other side of the island where somehow people do much better, or hell ship them to Afghanistan where they have room, better weather and considering the taliban tons of them will fit right in. Or send them all to the Clinton's properties, since the Clintons took all the aid money they should get the people too.

How about helping Americans and all the turd world people here?  More points in Haiti? Like my doctor brother.  Goes to help people in Pakistan, but won't offer an opinion or look at FAMILY X-RAYS.  Another ...'do gooder".  Then had to leave or be,  beheaded.  He is a democrat and voted for Obama.

You'd be hard pressed to find a Democrat in my congregation. Pretty sure our inspiration and/or motivation is in the 25th chapter of Matthew:
Quote
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
