Like many clickbait "news" articles, this one has fact problems:
1. This $16.9M grant was awarded in February,
2020, nearly a year before Rachel Walensky took office,
https://lyticatherapeutics.com/news ;
2. The grant came from CARB-X, not from the US government; CARB-X is a non-profit led by Boston University and is funded by the US Department of Health and Human Services, but ...
3. ... the funding comes from Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), not the CDC or
Bogey-Fauci.
IOW, the claim is anachronistic and there is no "Nasty Money Trail", just a clickbait site making @#$% up to troll for clicks.
