When officers caught up to an armed thug who shot two women, body camera footage shows the officer using a perfectly executed spear tackle to subdue the suspect.

Newly released body camera footage shows an intense and dangerous foot chase conducted by officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department.

The shooting took place in south Louisville, Kentucky on July 26 at around 1:15 p.m., according to an LMPD spokesperson.

Nice job. Although this officer probably put his own life in danger unnecessarily I can certainly understand why.

That cop is a brave man because the criminal  could have easily shifted position and shot at him,but it was a foolish move to make because the criminal was already drawing down on the other cop.

His personal courage could have easily caused the other cop to have gotten shot.

If it had been me,I'd have just gunned the MoFo down the instant he started to draw down on the other cop. After all,he had already proven he was willing to shoot those women,and as a career criminal he really didn't have anything to lose but prison time.

Not a chance.

1: He is a career criminal with multiple convictions.

2: He had already shot to kill two black women. The fact that neither died is irrelevant. He was clearly TRYING to murder them.

3:Both cops at the arrest are black. You can bet your bippy he is also going to be charged with the attempted murder of two (black) police officers. If he isn't,look for a walkout of all the black cops in town,which the PD can't stand because they would then probably lose close to half their force in the walkout.

That boy ain't going anywhere but to jail,and then to prison for life as a career criminal.

You can try to  sue anybody for anything,but that doesn't mean you are going to be able to get a lawyer to take your case unless you can pay him up front.

Seems unlikely in this case.

Fairly certain that most, if not all American Police, have orders not to shoot at Black criminals no matter what they do, because of you know, "oppression" and all that stuff. That would explain why they didn't just shoot him when they saw that he was dangerous and posed a direct real threat to their lives and the lives of others.

Well,orders from the brass are one thing,and reality is another.  Shooting a murderer that is drawing down on a fellow cop is NOT going to be criticized even if it is the Mayor or Police Chief's son because doing so would result in a mass walk-out of the other cops.

Besides,both of these cops were also black,so they could have lit the MF up for a week and nobody would have said anything.

The blacks you see on the 6 PM news stories are NOT representative of the typical black working man and woman.  Unfortunately,the typical responsible black that works hard and obeys the law never gets any press because that doesn't fit the leftist agenda.

I am sure you know this,having been in the army,but when we are saturated with nothing but black thugs in the news and in the media,it is easy to forget. Which is,of course,the goal of the media.

That is irrelevant. Black cops screaming racism is the last thing the left wants on tv and in the papers. Not to mention the possibility of a po-po walkout/protest.

Truth to tell,our political masters would completely ignore the fact that we HAVE black cops if they could get away with it. It messes up their whole "the system is biased against the black man" rant.
