Well, if he waits just a few more months, our tourist season will be over and our COVID numbers will start going down drastically and our tourism $$ will have been made.  Shh... our economy works just the opposite down here -- we thrive in the winter months and things slow up during the summer months.  HOWEVER, our housing prices are through the roof and our housing inventory is low because so many people are escaping the liberal states and moving here.  I'll refrain for saying anything any further; after all he is the current prez. So sad ... with travel restrictions, looks like Sloe Joe won't be visiting ... darn!

Does that mean no more illegals can enter FL as well??   

It is more and more apparent that DeSantis is an absolute threat to them and they need to destroy him anyway that they can.

Critics slammed Democrat President Joe Biden on Wednesday over a report that his administration is considering implementing domestic travel restrictions on Florida, calling it politically motivated.

While most of the reporting on the measures that the Biden administration is considering appeared to be primarily focused on Florida, they also mentioned California to a slightly lesser extent, undercutting the narrative that the move would be political in nature.

“Outbreaks of the new variants — including a highly contagious one first identified in the United Kingdom, as well as others from South Africa and Brazil that scientists worry can evade existing vaccines — have lent urgency to a review of potential travel restrictions within the United States,” The Associated Press reported Wednesday. “The U.K. variant, known as B.1.1.7, has recently exploded in Florida, where over a third of all cases in the United States have been identified.”

“While COVID-19 cases in Florida have declined in recent weeks, the U.K. variant has spread rapidly in the state during that time,” the report later added. “It now accounts for up to 15% of new cases in Florida, according to estimates from a team of researchers modeling the variant’s growth across the country — up from about 1% at the beginning of January.”..........

Yeah, the payback to Florida and Texas and any other "problem states" will begin in earnest now.   They won't hold back.   And why would they?   It's not like we have any real rule of law or a piece of parchment that might curtail their further destruction of our country.   It's not like we have any real patriots, like those of old, to stop them.   Just lay back and try to enjoy the raping we'll be getting.  No other choice, anyway.

If he used actual data, specifically deaths per million population, he'd isolate much of the NE US, not FL or TX. Apparently at some point months ago Trump considered doing that, but may have decided it was constitutionally questionable, if not simply wrong.

I haven't looked at the daily data for the US and various states in the past day or two, but last I saw the new cases and daily deaths numbers have been plummeting since mid-January. So isolating a region would be indefensible, based on actual data.

Yes, what DeSantis says is absolutely true.  How successful he's going to be against the marxists is yet to be seen.  They don't give a damn about whether or not their actions are unconstitutional.  We don't have a SCOTUS that is going to help, we've already witnessed that they will look the other way.

I am not in anyway finding fault with DeSantis.  Quite frankly what the DEMS are doing is absolutely frightening to me.  I think we all should be rattled by this. FL is a target, but we won't be the only ones.  If they succeed in taking FL down, they will take down the rest of the states that they want to destroy as well.

I thought that they would strike TX first, but evidently DeSantis is a more of a threat to them that I realized.

That is the for those state governors to decide.
