Los Angeles County has decided that bars and restaurants can reopen for outdoor dining only starting on Friday. But there are new draconian restrictions that will kill even more businesses in the end.

One of the new restrictions involves TVs. There will be no viewing TVs in the outdoor dining areas. With the Super Bowl coming up on February 7, county health officials are worried that having the ability to watch the game at a bar would lead to a “superspreader” event for the coronavirus.

Restaurant TVs cause Covid spread? Who knew?!

I wonder if the idiots left loopholes in the decree, like what if I put up a large projector screen and and projected the game from a computer? Technically not TV.

I "get" that prolonged proximity to an infected person will result in spread. BTDTGTTS. But the County of LA ASSumes that restaurants and bars won't figure out how to limit and spread the number of tables and limit table occupants to family and close friends. As for ventilation, 1-?? large fans blowing back to front of the bar/restaurant will take care of that potential issue.

This is no-thought bureaucratic tyranny.

CA is liberal backasswards and as for the Super Bowl....I don't watch football and never have.  I was born in KS, so I guess I would like to see the Chiefs win.  I won't be watching the game.  I'll find out who won when the final touchdown and score is announced.

The NFL lost me permanently when, a year or so ago, they went full BLM and De-Fund-the-Police. Scroom!
