1. Apparently, ~90% occupancy of ICUs is normal in CA for this time of the year.
2. CA's quasi-lockdown during late spring through early fall, IMO, hindered the development of "herd immunity" at a time when occupancy was lower. And now that the weather and people's normal habits favor viral transmission, CA's people are paying a price for that foolish tyrranocratic overreach (as are other hyper-blue states, like NY and NJ).
