Tainted Tallies Tell Tall Tales
By K. Lynn Lewis

Cheating and then claiming, "I won!" does not make a person a winner.  Fraud — whether organized or disorganized, isolated or widespread, individual or coordinated — disqualifies results.  When flags are thrown and violations confirmed, penalties are assessed and downs replayed.  Occasionally, violators may be rejected or time added back to the clock.  Confirmed chicanery requires vacated victories and reassignment of crowns.

Election totals fuel widespread declarations and serve as the basis for future ratified actions.  But if tallies are tainted, the claims are based on false data, and consequential actions are illegitimate.  The point of pursuing election integrity, in any election and at any and every level, is to indisputably confirm facts and incontestably dispel fiction.

Consider AP Washington Bureau chief Julie Pace's widely shared unequivocal assertion that the 2020 presidential election is over.  She contends, "It is increasingly clear that there is no fact, no piece of evidence and no court ruling that will dissuade Trump from trying to mislead Americans about President-elect Joe Biden's victory[.] ... In reality, Biden won 306 Electoral College votes, the same number Trump carried four years ago in a victory he deemed a landslide.  Biden also outpaced Trump by more than 7 million votes nationwide."

Pace's postulations are clear, but are they factually accurate?  If so, the following statements lean true:

"The election is over.  Joe Biden is the president-elect," and "What Joe Biden got in this election was a mandate."  Nancy Pelosi, news briefings, 11/12/20 and 11/13/20.
"The Donald Trump approach was repudiated.  The Joe Biden approach was embraced."  Chuck Schumer, news briefing, 11/12/20.
"The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history[.] ... There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised."  Election Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council (GCC) Executive Committee joint statement, CISA.gov, 11/12/20.
"The election is over."  Paul Ryan, Virtual European Credit Conference, 11/24/20.
"The election is over."  Joe Biden, Twitter, 11/24/2020.
"There is no evidence of fraud that would change the outcome of the election."  Attorney General William Barr, Associated Press, 12/1/20.
"I can tell you without shadow of a doubt, there was no hanky-panky with the recent election."  Rob Pitts, chairman of Fulton County (Georgia) Board of Commissioners, news conference, 12/1/20.
"The election is over."  Marc A. Thiessen, Washington Post, 12/8/20.
"The election is over."  Karl Rove, Fox Business, 12/8/20.
"The election is over."  Jeb Bush, Twitter, 12/10/2020.
"The election fraud hoax will go down as one of the most embarrassing and dishonorable episodes in American political history."  Michigan representative Justin Amash, Twitter, 12/11/20.

It's obvious that no recitation of the facts or refutations of voter fraud are going to convince the people who are absolutely certain that MASSIVE!!!! fraud occurred. Despite Team Trump failing to prove one, single instance of fraud large enough to affect races in six different states. Which they've not alleged in any of their 50+ court cases. Just voting irregularities.
I've been to numerous conservative websites where many of the columnists and 90+% of the commenters are absolutely convinced major fraud occurred BUT THE FIX IS IN!!!!
According to these people every single SC justice, state and federal court justice, and virtually every member of the Republican Party  not named Trump are in on the fix.
So how to argue with people who simply refuse to accept reality.....Biden won, Trump lost. There was no major fraud.
I voted for Trump. I'm not looking forward to the Biden-Harris admin, but it will be a reality next Jan 20. Time to accept reality.

Bud...  I was on the election thread at this site election night.  (Go back and read).  Whatever happened at about 12:30 my time, was not plausbile. Again, check the thread.  RIV and I both noticed

(1) Vote counting stops in 6 battleground states simutaneously
(2) At resumption, the trend totally reveresed at all 6 states for Biden.
(3) At that same time, every news outlet broke to map reading, and each new site gave positive news on a Biden out for a win.

This amounted to the appearance of someone flipping a switch.  This was not in the realm of any normal reality., and definitely not coincidental.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

So what you're saying is the chicanery/fraud was  so blatant/overwhelming that an idiot could see it.
But Trump's team of legal stooges cannot prove a single case of said chicanery in court. They just allege voting irregularities.
I don't think Giuliani, Powell, and whomever are idiots. If the fraud was overwhelming and obvious, it should be a simple matter for them to prove it in court, right? So why aren't they doing so?

What I am saying is what happened the night of the election was not plausible.  Are there nefarious forces behind the whole system?  No proof there obviously.  Still, sometimes fraud if crafted well can be swept under the rug, with no or minimal traces left.

But Trump's team of legal stooges cannot prove a single case of said chicanery in court. They just allege voting irregularities.

There has been plenty of evidence provided in the past few weeks here at TBR.  OTOH, if the courts  prefer to provide a deaf ear, and accept the Swamp/MSM narrative, ......    Trump et. al have really no recourse.

You cannot prove anything in court if the courts refuse to hear the case!  Can you tell me where SCOTUS gets the authority to hear a case in which they have original jurisdiction?  @goatprairie

Occam's razor: the cases brought before whatever court by Team Trump's legal beagles are probably almost entirely bullsh*t on stilts. That's why they get thrown out of court so quickly.
Don't you think that if Team Trump had at least one, single, solid case, some court somewhere wouldn't have dismissed it with prejudice?
I voted for Trump, but it's obvious he lost. He's grasping at straws, and Giuliani and the other legal stooges have lost most of the credibility and integrity they previously had trying to present these almost totally preposterous cases before a court of sane justices.

Nice dodge @goatprairie now answer the question I asked you.  I'll repeat it in case you missed it.

And how about this newest bullshit from SC:  They've set the deadline for response to the Trump Administration's last brief on Pennsylvania fraud as Jan 22, 2021.

Yup.  Jan 22, 2021 @Bigun

The swamp has overcome the Constitution, we are no longer a nation of laws, and thus the union is desolved.  Welcome to the newly minted Banana republic!

Things aren't quite that bad. If the GOP gets a decent candidate in 2024 (not Trump), then their chances should be fairly good to get the White House again.
I'm fairly sure Dems will screw up royally in the next four years and probably lose the house.
Just accept the fact that Trump lost, and no amount of bitching and whining is going to put him back into the WH. Biden will be the president...at least as long as his limited mental faculties and health permit.

To borrow a line from a very famous movie "You dream Sir! You Dream!"
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
