The House of Representatives decisively voted on Tuesday to approve a defense bill that President Trump had urged House Republicans to vote against and said that he would veto.
"I hope House Republicans will vote against the very weak National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which I will VETO," the president tweeted on Tuesday. "Must include a termination of Section 230 (for National Security purposes), preserve our National Monuments, & allow for 5G & troop reductions in foreign lands!"
The bill passed in the House by a vote of 335-78. If the Senate also approves the bill it will head to the president's desk.
