President Donald Trump late Sunday night declared on Twitter, in a four-word, all caps tweet, that he "WON THE ELECTION."
The message came after a day of speculation that he'd admitted Joe Biden had won the presidential election in a message posted earlier in the day.
His tweet was tagged by Twitter, which said that "official sources called this election differently" and added a link to a page of news sources that called the election for the former vice president.
Earlier on Sunday, Trump drew speculation with a tweet that said "he won" in a tweet, without mentioning Biden by name, because the election was "rigged." His message drew another flag from Twitter, which said the post contained disputed election fraud claims.
The tweet also sparked speculation that Trump had publicly admitted Biden had defeated him, and shortly after, Trump posted another message, saying "I concede NOTHING! We have a long way to go."
