This is kind of fun. Merriam-Webster has a webpage where you can go to your birth year and find which words and phrases were first used in print that year. We tend to think some words have always been around, but some may be newer than you think.

For example, born in 1960 like my sister? Biomedical engineering, Eurodollar, brain drain, Montezuma's revenge, radar detector, thunder lizard and wide receiver made their debuts 60 years ago.
