Idiot Who Demanded that Dad Chose Trump or His Grandchildren Apologizes After Massive Backlash

There was a backlash for the moron who said he was forcing his father to remove his Trump yard sign or risk never seeing his grandchildren.

The moron who proudly went online to tell the world that he was forcing his father to remove his Donald Trump yard sign or risk never seeing his grandchildren again was hit with a massive backlash. Now he is apologizing for being a huge creep.

Scumbag leftist Leo Guinan was swamped with attacks last week after posting an article saying that he was going to excommunicate his own father because the man was a Trump supporter.

In his original article, “Today I Gave My Dad A Choice: Trump or His Grandkids and His Son,” Guinan was furious that his father had the temerity to put a Trump sign in his yard.

He wanted to physically hurt his father for supporting Trump.

“Hands shaking, tears in eyes. This is what it said,” Guinan wrote. “Due to the signs in the yard, the kids and I will not be down. The current occupant of the White House is preaching hate and violence, endangering the lives and safety of many of my friends. This is not acceptable to me at all. There is a complete disregard for women, minorities, science, ethics, and morality. Please consider if you support Trump that much. Because I hate him that much. I wanted to be upfront and honest about my feelings.”

“At this point, it is not acceptable to me,” he added. “You can vote for whom you wish. But I can choose who I surround myself with. I love my dad, but I can’t be around him until he understands how vital I believe this election to be and what is truly at stake. It is not easy. But it was necessary.”

Now, Guinan is apologizing for being a jerk.

But, like a good liberal, he is still blaming something other than himself. It is all because social media is pernicious, you see.

DU-folk proudly post they've cut off parents, siblings, children, etc. and about how they're going to be jerks at family gatherings at Thanksgiving or Christmas. I suspect a lot of it is to keep their families from being watched and investigated by the police. If they disavow their families,their families will still be there to give them cash,a place to hide,etc,etc,etc. If their families are being watched,they are on their own.

I had to unfriend one of BIL's on Book Face because I was tired of being called a homophobic, sexist, racist in almost every one of his comments. I will still be civil when i see him, but I just don't need that kind of negativity.

My wife clicked  "like"  on a  message posted by one of my aunts on Fakebook. My aunt appears to be a conservative like the wife and me. My aunt had approved of Trump calling the Covid-19 virus the Chinese virus.
One of my lib sisters checked out who liked my aunt's message, and sent a nasty note to my wife accusing her of being a racist and a xenophobe.
My wife ignored her diatribe.
My wife liked another conservative message on Fakebook, so my ditzy sister sent her another nasty note.
She appears to be trolling my wife. Once again my wife ignored her taunting.
So, I asked my wife if I should send my sister a b-day card. She said yes, let's not go down the dirty road the libs go down. She said we shouldn't sink to her level.
So I'll send my sister a b-day card for her upcoming birthday. Maybe she'll come to her senses, but I'm getting a dreadful feeling she's gone over the edge.

Similar to the Goats story A guy I played football with from 7th grade all thru college unfriended and blocked me over a post I made the day RBG croaked about how the rats has a group people lined up to testify that Trumps SC Nom violated them and the NYTimes and WAPO have the stories already written read to print the second after Trump announces.   He flipped out saying how I was disrespecting Ruthie?   I knew he leaned left but I didn't realize he was swimming in the poison waters. 

So far no family member has blocked me.  I do get the occasional :rollyeyes: emoji!

Until a couple years ago I had never UnFriended anyone of FB. That changed when a couple of friends who had known me for over 35 years thought it was a great idea to insinuate that I'm a racist. I will and do put up with a fair amount of stuff, but a friend who knows better calling me a racist I will not.

But this is different from what I've seen DU-folk post. Basically they stir up @#$% at family gatherings or cut off people who support Trump because those family members and friends dare to have different political ideas.

I had two "close" friends who stopped being close friends when I switched parties a quarter of a  century ago. One friend is still "sort of" friendly. But I haven't talked to him in years. The other just plain refused to talk to me when we met a  wedding party some years ago.
I would never drop a friend for their political allegiances as I've not stopped being cordial or visiting my liberal siblings.  My other siblings seem to be alright with that feeling.
Apparently, one sister is not.
My feelings towards anyone who does not want me around is to say: two can play that game. I definitely won't beg for anybody's friendship.

Until a week ago or so I'd posted about political matters very seldom on FB. I mainly used it for keeping in touch with family and friends and for running event discussion. A week ago I started posting provocative stuff about Trump, Biden, China/WHO, and Covid-19, lowlights from my info-packratting on Covid-related topics. Not much reaction from my Trump-Hater and Prog FB Friends so far.

I have one. I created it to prevent anyone else from creating one in my name and posting stuff that could lead to my arrest.

Don't believe for a minute you are "innocent until proven guilty" if the cops arrest you or bring you in for questioning. If you can't prove you were not there at the time the crime was committed or that you didn't do or say something,you are hosed.
