Biden looks to make inroads with evangelical voters
By Justine Coleman - 08/16/20 08:00 AM EDT

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is seeking to make inroads with evangelical voters, a demographic that overwhelmingly sided with President Trump during the 2016 election.

Team Biden doesn’t think it can win over all evangelicals or even a majority, but it does think it can slice off some of them from Trump’s coalition by emphasizing the former vice president’s personal faith and values.

At the Democratic National Convention, Biden’s campaign will hold an interfaith service on Aug. 16 and a Believers for Biden watch party ahead of the candidate’s acceptance speech it set for Aug. 20, according to a Biden adviser.

The Democratic National Committee will also host two interfaith council meetings during the week.

Is Biden so far gone mentally that he imagines that droves of Evangelicals will support a candidate who: advocates abortion; advocates same-sex marriage; advocates forcing religious groups to fund abortion through their health insurance plans? To name just a few obvious absurdities Biden seems to imagine?

Or is this just The Hill once again being The Shill?
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

I'm not sure how he thinks that will work.  Does he think picking an anti-Catholic bigot for a running mate will let him appeal to them with a 19th century style "no Popery" campaign?  Somehow if there are any evangelical protestants who would be attracted by such a campaign, I think his being an adherent (albeit plainly an impious adherent, given his stance on abortion and promise to resume the persecution of the Little Sisters of the Poor) of the Church of Rome would make voting for him a non-starter anyway.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

I don't know how any of this can work out for Biden, after the nation has seen how sympathetic the rats were to the violent anarchists and how excited they are about the economic shutdowns, emptying prisons, banning church services, etc. Not mentioning how hard they've tried to use the pandemic to shove forward their agenda and  fund their constituencies.

The sum of Biden's support will boil down to 'he's not Donald Trump'. We'll see how many of those there are.

True.
Unfortunately, I think we'll be disappointed to discover just HOW MANY of them exist.

More than "disappointed"... rather... shocked...

Joe Biden Plans to Restore Federal Funding for Planned Parenthood

Alexandra Hutzler   |   7/27/20 at 3:36 PM EDT

Hundreds of family planning clinics have lost federal funding because of new rules enacted by President Donald Trump's administration, but presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden is pledging to bring the money back.

The former vice president said Monday he will restore funding to Planned Parenthood as part of his "Agenda for Women" proposal. The wide-ranging plan covers everything from codifying the Roe v. Wade abortion ruling in the Constitution to establishing a national standard for paid family leave.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
