George W. Bush won't support reelection of Trump

Former President George W. Bush will not support President Trump in his effort to seek reelection this year.

People familiar with his thinking told the New York Times the 43rd president won't back his fellow Republican, who will likely face former Vice President Joe Biden in the general election.

Freddy Ford, a spokesman for Bush, said the former president plans to speak out only on policy issues.

Just four days ago, Bush spoke out about George Floyd, a black man who died in Minneapolis police custody on Memorial Day, and the nationwide protests that have followed. Bush said he was "anguished" by Floyd's death and declared it was "time for America to examine our tragic failures."

That's ok.  I won't vote for either candidate.   :shrug:

And really, is it so important who votes for which candidate?  We all are entitled to our choices.  I sure as H am not going to vote based on who a certain famous person votes for.

And who still thinks there is not a permanent ruling class, that holds the strings of power, mainly in DC, and if you don't let them have their wa, forget about it. Paul Ryan types, too.

Eisenhower warned of them. military, industrial comples, and to that ad congress, lobbyists, for the industrial, and further as intelligence agencies.

Trump disrupts their status quo, so they are out.

Trump fires back at Colin Powell for saying he'd vote for Biden

President Trump hit back at retired Gen. Colin Powell after the former secretary of State said he would be voting for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

“Colin Powell, a real stiff who was very responsible for getting us into the disastrous Middle East Wars, just announced he will be voting for another stiff, Sleepy Joe Biden,” Trump tweeted Sunday.

“Didn’t Powell say that Iraq had ‘weapons of mass destruction?’ They didn’t, but off we went to WAR!,” the president added.
