More than 800 public health experts call on Congress to fund mail-in voting
By Maggie Miller - 05/05/20 05:26 PM EDT

A group of more than 800 public health experts on Tuesday called on Congress to fund mail-in voting amid rising concerns about in-person voting related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The experts — made up of professors, phycologists and doctors led by the Center for American Progress — sent a letter to the House and Senate asking that states be given $4 billion to address moving to mail-in voting.

These funds would cover the mailing and printing of ballots, securing ballot request systems and staffing, among other issues.

“In order to ensure the integrity of the electoral process and protect the public health at the same time, it is incumbent on our leaders to prepare for a Presidential election by mail, in which ballots are sent to all registered voters, to allow them to vote from home and ensure their health and safety in the event of a new outbreak of SARS-CoV-2,” the public health experts wrote.

Stop right there.

As an aside, I would be all in favor of online or mail-in voting if someone could guarantee that there would be no voter fraud.  And as far as I can tell, there is no way to make that guarantee.

Definitely not.  Considering that the liberal entity "Google" has the ability to control elections, what could possibly go wrong with on-line voting and how would anyone prove that "Google" manipulated the vote??

If we have 800 Covid-19 experts, why don't we have a cure or vaccine?

Because they're trying to rig the election for someone who couldn't be elected dogcatcher.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

  • Dems-greatest existential threat to USA republic!
There will NOT be a vaccine any time soon, for they will be busy making BILLIONS on the drug they embraced, which cost a $1,000 a tablet. or something ridiculous, versus the Hydroxychloroquine which is ten cents a pill.

The AMA, FDA, CDC are all populated by greedy MFers.  800 thieves, whose opinion is not worth a pile of poop!!!

Trust AMA physicians at your peril.  It's all about the money.

If you doubt that, investigate the differences between USA and German medicine as it pertains to cancer.  Shocking differences would be an understatement.

The problem with a vaccine is that the virus is already mutating.

https://www.gisaid.org/epiflu-applications/next-hcov-19-app/

A vaccine against one subclade may have limited efficacy against another. What? another 'annual shot'? (I don't even do flu shots.)

The problem with the hydroxychloroquine/Azithromycin/Zinc Sulfate regimen is that the so-called studies getting press keep leaving the zinc out, wait far too long to give the meds, and as a result the patient outcome is not as good. The idea is to catch the virus early before it has a chance to replicate extensively. That cuts down on lung damage, keeps viral load down, and keeps the patient out of the hospital altogether.

Say what? There's no paying off the new wing doing that stuff, and there's all that neat ICU stuff that might sit in storage...It's just one doctor visit and done.

First paragraph from the wikipedia page of this so called Health Organization.....

The Center for American Progress (CAP) is a public policy research and advocacy organization which presents a liberal[2] viewpoint on economic and social issues. It has its headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The president and chief executive officer of CAP is Neera Tanden, who worked for the Obama and Clinton administrations and for Hillary Clinton's campaigns.[3] The first president and CEO was John Podesta, who has served as White House Chief of Staff to U.S. President Bill Clinton and as the chairman of the 2016 presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton.[4] Podesta remained with the organization as chairman of the board until he joined the Obama White House staff in December 2013. Tom Daschle is the current chairman.[5]

Do they think we are that stupid?
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

  • I don't believe in Trump anymore, he's an illusion
800 health experts out of how many? According to Wikipedia There were 15.7 million health care professionals in the US as of 2011., so what, that's 0.1% of a number only increased over nine years? Yeah I,m impressed

@catfish1957

Anytime you see the word "progress" or "progressive" in a name, you know it's nothing good.  When I was a kid, I was taught that Woodrow Wilson was a "progressive," but the term was never really defined -- only that my commie union teachers made it sound like something good.  Wasn't till years later that I learned what and who "progressives" really are.

"Progressive" is a term adopted by early communists to make their agenda seem less threatening to the masses.

But the ultimate goal remained -- and remains today -- the same.
