Dr. Anthony Fauci has recommended the U.S. increase testing twofold and thinks this goal will be achievable soon. He made this comment on Saturday during a webcast with the National Academy of Sciences.
Currently, there are up to 2 million tests administered per week, a number Fauci said will double as we get into the next couple weeks. According to the coronavirus task force member, testing is the next step towards containing the virus.
