Employment in Health Care Industry Dropped 43,000 in March

The number of people employed in the health care industry dropped by 43,000 in March as the United States was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

“Health care employment declined by 43,000 with job losses in offices of dentists (-17,000), offices of physicians (-12,000), and offices of other health care practitioners (-7,000),” said the BLS March employment report........

Seems counterintuitive, doesn't it?

I think the health insurance industry should be doing pretty well.

All those premiums and little in the way of claims......
