New polls show Trump winning the Midwest again

Maybe Joe Biden is not the great hope Democrats thought he would be.

President Trump is polling ahead of the former vice president in both Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to surveys released this week by researchers at Baldwin Wallace University, Ohio Northern University, and Oakland University.

Moreover, Trump is polling in a dead heat against Biden in Wisconsin, although he trails the presumptive 2020 Democratic nominee in Michigan.

The same researchers' data at this time in January saw Trump trailing in all four states.

At this time 4 years ago, the polls had the Pantsuit Assassin ahead of President Trump by 80 points in Wisconsin. He ended up winning Wisconsin by 2 points. I see a re-election by landslide in November.

The general consensus among folks I have talked with, some of whom aren't even ardent fans, is that POTUS is getting the job done in spite of the usual do-nothings and worse in Washington. That hasn't hurt him at all, but people are getting more and more frustrated with Mass Media, etc. and the others who try their damnedest to get in the way.

We may be nearing the 'critical mass' where enough Americans are sick of having Government get in the way of viable solutions.

I'm one of those that does not believe that Biden will be replaced. The DNC probably has decided to sacrifice winning the WH in 2020 and concentrate on the House and Senate.

Biden winning deals with the Sanders problem. That's their short term goal
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

I'm hearing more and more folks around me grumbling about the lockdowns and talking about, at some point, rebelling. Mankind has evolved with diseases and will continue to do so. Shutting down everything because of a disease sets a bad precedent

I think they have shifted their game to using entrenched bureaucrats and Obama era judges to systematically undo or otherwise much up what good has been done. They got three years of 'impeachment' nonsense, deflecting investigations and prosecution from many high ranking crooks from the previous administration, and generally destroying the reputations of agencies and people. Unfortunately, the GOP hasn't exactly been the standard bearer for getting rid of such, (FISA, for example), maybe because they fantasize about using such against the Dems (unlikely to happen because they have so miserably failed to prosecute any but a couple of child rapist types, one of whom 'fell silent' before any trial.
Likely, a host of others have quietly met their demise either through moments of extraordinary and sudden despair, or unfortunate accidents and more plebeian criminal events like 'botched robberies'.
If they can keep a majority in one house, that will also enable them to hold critical functions for ransom, that ransom being funding for their socialist and pork barrel projects.
If they can provide pork barrel grants to groups which, in turn, sue Federal Agencies over policy or decisions, they can make enough of a mess of things to slow recovery, intensify real misery out there, and even crash regional economies, not to mention keeping policy from being implemented almost indefinitely.
