Scarcely a day goes by without learning something new about the unfortunate safety record of Boeing’s new 737 MAX, now grounded for almost a year after two fatal accidents related to its flight control system. When FAA re-certifies the troubled plane, some passengers will rightfully worry about flying on the MAX. Perhaps the traveling public should be more concerned with the growing risk associated with the outdated U.S. Air Traffic control system that governs all U.S. air traffic, including the 737 MAX.
