Three suspected Mexican Mafia associates landed behind bars for holding a woman against her will in a north Laredo home and interrogating her over losing 33 pounds of cocaine, according to an arrest affidavit.

Authorities identified the assailants as Mateo Roberto Alaniz, 44, Benigno Ayala Juarez, 45, and Juan de Dios Ortiz, 36. Each was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful restraint: expose to serious bodily injury.
The case unfolded on Nov. 14, when detectives began investigating the circumstances of an unlawful restraint and an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon case.
