Schiff touts 'overwhelming evidence' Trump sought to coerce Ukraine into investigating Biden

Democratic California Rep. Adam Schiff said there is "overwhelming evidence" to support the theory that President Trump attempted to coerce a foreign leader in the 2020 election.
"[Trump] essentially sought to cheat in our next election by getting a foreign government to weigh in," Schiff said. "That’s a very serious business and imperils our national security."
Democratic leadership has seized on a July 25 phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during which Trump asked Zelensky to investigate a political rival.
Trump has repeatedly claimed he "did nothing wrong" during a "perfect" call with Ukraine, from which he "wanted nothing."
