Senators want vote on bill to rein in president's emergency powers
By Jordain Carney - 10/18/19 11:49 AM EDT

A bipartisan group of senators want the Senate to vote on legislation reining in a president's emergency powers.

Fifteen senators sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) calling for the legislation, known as the Article One Act, to be "considered by the full Senate as soon as possible."

"Congress cannot continue to cede its powers to another branch, regardless of who is President or which party holds a majority," the senators wrote in the letter, which was released on Friday.

They added that the bill, if enacted, would represent a "small, nonpartisan step toward re-establishing the appropriate checks and balances between the Congress and the Executive."

Winner winner chicken diner.  Plus RINOs Lee, Blunt, Johnson, Wicker, Portman, Grassley, Sasse, and Isackson.  The ones who have always stabbed Trump in the back.

...and the coup continues to grow
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

It is possible the senate will join the house and remove Trump.  If they do, I am in full support of their being removed, i.e. a military takeover.

Congress is worthless.  Left to their own devices, they are completely worthless, focused on everything but the people's business.

Congress no longer functions as it was intended to. They wouldn't stop obama with his illegal executive orders that created policy (DACA) and now when we have POTUS who uses his lawful authority (they gave it to him) to advance his agenda that they don't support (the wall) they want to change the rules. I do worry about future socialist Presidents having the same authority, but as we've seen in the past they won't do anything to stop him anyway.
