California: Gilroy Garlic Festival shooter had “reading material on white supremacy and radical Islam”

He railed against “Silicon Valley white twats,” so it’s unlikely that he was a white supremacist, contrary to establishment media claims. But although he had material on jihad, he doesn’t seem to have been a committed Muslim, or a Muslim at all; he is more likely to have been a hate-filled individual with a thirst to do people harm than a committed jihadi.

In any case, it is characteristic of the establishment media to ignore the Islamic material that Legan had and play up the white supremacist material, as you can see in the SFGate’s headline.

Someone looking at my bookshelf and rooting around my garage would find an English-language copy of the Koran, several books by skeptic Bart Ehrman, a copy of the Book of Mormon, and copies of almost every Watchtower hardback book published before 1980. But I am not and never have been a Muslim, JW, Mormon, or whatever Ehrman considers himself to be. Sometimes you want to understand the views of people with whom you disagree.

Personally, I suspect the late unlamented twit was more than a little "off", so crazy is part of his mix.

I believe California has the largest population of Persians (Iranians) outside Iran.

My neighbor down the street, is native born American, to earlier immigrants from Iran. I think his family came long ago, possibly 1940-50s.

He and his non-Iranian wife, are Christians. Their son is a professional ice hockey player, in Sweden.

We have had no concerns over possible "jihad."

This is a good place to practice having two or more ideas active in mind.
