US family sues Cancun resort over 'poisonous' alcohol death
    29 November 2018

A Wisconsin family is suing a luxury resort in Mexico and a bookings site, claiming tainted alcohol caused the death of their 20-year-old daughter.

...

Hundreds have since spoken out about dangerous drinks at Mexican resorts.

The wrongful death civil lawsuit claims that the five-star Iberostar hotel and its affiliates, including US-based booking website Visit Us, knew the alcohol being served was "tainted, substandard, poisonous, unfit for human consumption".

That eye-opening part, "hundreds" have discussed these dangerous drinks. This is just one more thing going on.

@Once-Ler   , seems to have flown the coup. These people were from somewhere in Wisconsin like him. Maybe I saw him signed on the other day. Anyway, to the story, yes, these things have happened in those Five-Star resorts. Thousands of people go to those, for one reason in that right now, with all of the bad press for Mexico, they are really cheap. Fly down and stay for a week for?? I'll bet for a very low price.

A danger can face anyone going to Mexico or even going into certain neighborhoods at the wrong time in the USA.

Maybe there is a percentage of how safe a tourist is in going to Mexico.

But maybe, we owe some sort of solidarity to those who have lost their lives in Mexico, that is sort of the way I see it. No tourist dollars until you clean up your act.

So that shithole has gone from "Don't drink the water" to "Don't drink anything".

I don't agree with the term President Trump used but it's really the same thing as saying something like that's the armpit of the world or something.

I was reading an article on Congo the other day in the Washington Times, someone used that term. Check it out, if not for DR Congo high grade uranium, we might not have had the bombs to drop on Nagasaki and Hiroshima....so, to me, the remark is just a bit of a throwaway statement, we know what one means and the basis of the matter is true.
