49ers cheerleader takes knee during national anthem

A cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers kneeled during the national anthem of Thursday’s home game against the Raiders in San Francisco.
While all cheerleaders stood in a uniform position during the anthem, one can be seen kneeling alone in line.
The anthem protest to raise awareness around injustices facing people of color in America began when quarterback Colin Kaepernick first took a knee in 2016 when playing for the 49ers.
