Perhaps Feinstein thinks her base is too dumb to know how much sneaky and sideways crap she and her cohorts pulled with Ford and Kavanaugh but c’mon. Even they should be angry with her for this failed Hail Mary that set women back decades.

To protect Roe from a judge who has said time and time again that Roe is settled law.

You may be overestimating the intelligence of her base.  But while they couldn't care less about her tactics, they are probably angry that she failed.

The ruling on Roe V Wade is based on nothing. It's made up law, by a bunch of black robed unaccountable judges. It should be overturned, it is as bad a ruling as Dred Scott was, nibbling around the edges of Roe V Wade will never end the opposition to it.

The leftists don't want abortion resolved. It's their beachhead in their war to destroy our culture and replace it with an all powerful state that molds citizens into what they think we should be. Everything that was foundational in forming the greatness that was western civilization is being undone. Innocent defenseless life being of no value and not worthy of defense was just the start in destroying us.

I think you're right. The strategy was to create so much negative pressure Kavanaugh would withdraw. The tactic was to present unverifiable charges at the last minute. Any objective observer laughed at the lunacy of the charges, but the selective reporting and the PC culture (where you can never criticize the accuser if it's a woman) all left the more emotional among us in hysteria. @bilo   I could not agree with you more.  Why is it settled law?  There is no basis for saying that.  Was a poll tax settled law.  Was slavery settled law?

Roe v Wade is probably the most destructive thing that has happened to our country internally since the Civil War.

It has created evil in our midst.  It has resulted in abortion being used as birth control.  It has weakened the moral fiber of our country; it is sin, pure and simple.

And it's a sad thing that a prospective Justice felt compelled to call it settled law.  That is the one and only thing he did wrong, but he had to do it.
