Move to Florida (only works for Conservatives).  Problems solved.

1. Dry, itchy skin

Put a pot of water on the stove


2. Arthritis pain

Take a hot bath, and use turmeric milk.

3. Depression

Winter camping, snowshoeing, skiing, x-country skiing, sledding, snow boarding, hunting, ice fishing... Comfort food, hot chocolate, a warm blanket by a cheery fire... What's to be depressed about?

4. Colds and viruses

Fire Cider

5. Weight gain

Weight gain is good and natural... Fat keeps you warm.

6. Frostbite

Use clothes. Make fire.

I can't add anything to that.   Except maybe to have a good women to help you pass the time and keep you warm.  And prepare your meals. Darn your socks. Run a trout line and skin a buck.   But a country boy can  survive.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.
