On Monday, President Trump granted credence to Vladimir Putin’s account of the hacks of the Democratic National Committee and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, as well as Hillary Clinton’s campaign servers, had nothing to do with Russia. In doing so, he threw his own intelligence agencies under the bus. He has no evidence whatsoever to suggest that his intelligence agencies are wrong — but he does have a question he frequently posits, and that has been repeated ad nauseum by those on the right who question the official story: if the DNC was hacked by the Russians, why didn’t they turn over their servers to the FBI?

I've been wondering that, I've been asking that for months and months and I've been tweeting it out and calling it out on social media. Where is the server? But there’s one problem: the DNC did apparently cooperate with the FBI, according to the FBI. And they didn’t have to “turn over” their servers in order to provide the FBI with the information on the hacking, as is obvious from the Mueller indictment of 12 Russian hackers. How could the FBI have gathered information on those hackers without access to information from the DNC servers?

Umm...no. They confiscate the servers and the entity being investigated creates new servers with the images. You cannot guarantee that you are getting all the data if they make the images. Trust me, they take everything. Boxes and backups.

Some of you tin foilers so intent on believing our intel services were part of this hack have either forgotten or don't know we found out about it tbrough AIVD, the Dutch Intel service that had been in the Russian network for years.

Sure you can!  Just ask Peter Strzok and Lisa Page...they'll give the FBI a great review!

My understanding is, the FBI refused to take custody of the actual servers, and they were referred to a private company for disposition.  Probably the tender mercies of that Alwan guy's company.

I don't believe our intel services were part of the hack.  I believe they looked the other way when it was discovered because it implicated the very people they were sworn to protect.

I don't believe they were part of the hack either! I think they contracted that out to third parties with instructions to make it look like the Russians did it. But what the hell do I know?

I believe Joe diGenova and Mark Levin,, who outlined the scenario correctly over a year ago.

FBI gave H. Clinton a pass on her server and emails, while trying to frame Trump. Books have been written.

Trust in our intelligence agencies was pissed away under Obama, and sadly seems to continue until the present.

By an 'image' they don't mean a picture of a server like this:


A server 'image' is a mirror of all data and information contained within the server or that has gone through the server.

As I mentioned on another thread, a physical server isn't necessary to examine in order to investigate or determine a hack (with the rare exception of a physical device being added to a server).  At that, for most detection, physical access to a server is unnecessary as long as one has access to the data and traffic. The server itself is just a box, not the data.

So the DNC wasn’t covering for a leak of material to the Russians. This is all apparently misdirection. And if it’s not, it would behoove those theorizing that it is to explain how the FBI got access to all the information they needed to indict those 12 Russian citizens.


It doesn't matter.  If you asked the average American to identify a server, you'd get these possibilities....





They're not concerned with pesky details.  It just comes down to Trump right, everyone else wrong.
