Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit charged the prime minister’s wife, Sara Netanyahu, for fraud with aggravated circumstances and breach of public trust in the “Prepared Food Affair,” in an explosive development which shook the country on Thursday.

When Leah Rabin was about to be indicted in 1977, then-prime minister Yitzhak Rabin resigned from office due to his wife’s scandal.Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit charged the prime minister’s wife, Sara Netanyahu, for fraud with aggravated circumstances and breach of public trust in the “Prepared Food Affair,” in an explosive development which shook the country on Thursday.

FWIT, against the advice of her attorneys Mrs. Netanyahu turned down a plea deal which would have avoided indictment.

Nah, she's guilty.   Prosecutors wanted to save her the embarrassment of a trial and what would come out during it.  Mrs. Netanyahu firmly believes she didn't do anything wrong because ... well... because she's Mrs. Netanyahu.
