Word in Philly is that not enough players were going to attend so Trump cancelled.  The President does like him some big crowds.

It's not about big crowds.  It's about showing respect to the nation.... if not to the office of the Presidency.   If someone isn't willing to do that.....

they don't deserve the invite.

I'm not surprised at all that the mayor provided cover for the team.

Perhaps in reality the Eagles players were afraid they'd get the same kind of reception by fans of every other NFL team in the league when they rolled up to the WH?.

I wasn't there, but there were many of us who donated to Vikings charities and sent emails and letters to the Vikings, their fans and others to express our sincere displeasure at how they had been treated and attempt to make some kind of amends.

Not all Philly fans are jerks, just look around at all of the sports venues and you'll find jerks everywhere.  Seems Philly is an easy target for previous sins. 

As for me?  I won't go to Chavez Ravine any longer when the Phillies are in town because I might get the crap beat out of me or even killed.

That is my dog in the avatar picture. It was taken right after Foles scored the touchdown on their QB gadget play. I was laughing really hard, since Brady had dropped the ball on a similar play earlier in the game. She was a bit concerned for my safety, because I thought it was so hysterical.
