Trump has secured release of 17 American hostages already and here’s what’s coming…

President Donald Trump has secured the release of 17 Americans who were held as hostages in foreign countries during his first year in office.

The latest was Joshua Holt, who was imprisoned in Venezuela in 2016 after traveling there to meet a woman he had met online. Holt came back to the United States in good health on May 26, spotlighting President Trump’s excellent negotiating skills on the world stage.

“So we’ve had 17 prisoners released during the Trump administration,” Trump told reporters on May 26 as he welcomed Holt in the White House. “We’ve had 17 released, and we’re very proud of that record. Very proud. And we have others coming.”

President Trump said his team is currently negotiating other hostage releases, so we should expect more good news. “We’re in the midst of some very big negotiations to get others out,” he said.

I can only recall hearing about 4, but then again why would the media give him any credit?

Sounds like the source of that number is Trump himself.  Yes, I would like to see a list of all 17 before I congratulate. 

And I would like to know what, if anything, was given in exchange for these hostages.

He must be including the UCLA students who were taken into custody by China,

So, the 3 released by North Korea about 2 weeks ago.

Otto Warmbier released from North Korea though he died not long after release.

3 students from UCLA.

The Mormon Missionary, Holt from Venezuela, that brings the count up 7.

News reports are the wife is set to be released, she has children from a prior relationship.

There could be some info that we do not know that would endanger other hostages, so we don't know about their releases.
We may not be privy to all information.
